tuna boats…

…are the perfect way to enjoy your lunchtime. Well not deep sea fishing so much, but a nice twist on your average, edible tuna salad sandwich. Except we’re using fresh lettuce versus bread. Not all tuna salads are created equal. I’ve encountered tuna varieties from each end of the lunch-special spectrum, and it is rare…

What a Cluster

I don’t know about you, but my week’s been a cluster so far, though I am kind of enjoying it!  Well, that’s only because my cluster is centered around dark chocolate, and the salty-sweetness of pretzel pieces, marshmallows, dried cranberries, honey roasted cashews & sea salt. Now that’s my kind of cluster, AND one that…

Looks awesome!

Hi there, you would really like these! I might have to bring some in for the AHI crew soon:)

Michelle

Thank you for sharing!

I was wondering if I have to change up anything if I just omit the cranberries. I’m the only one that will eat them at my house.

I’m still looking where I can print this off and can’t find anywhere.

Hi Michelle, Thank you for visiting! Yes, you can totally omit them! I would then add more cashews or marshmallows in that case, or if your fam is a fan of raisins, yogurt-covered raisins… or maybe even chopped dried blueberries, that would be a delicious substitute also. Hope you enjoy, they are addicting!

Hi Lois, thank you for visiting the dinnervine! The recipe on the post, http://www.dinnervine.com/2012/08/chocolate-pretzel-clusters/, has a ‘save to recipe box’ button and a ‘print’ button in the upper right-hand corner of the detailed recipe. If you click the print, it should prompt your defaulted printer to print recipe in a standard 8.5×11 size paper. I just checked to see if the link is working and it appears to be. If you are still having troubles, I am more than happy to email you the recipe as well. Thanks again and I hope you enjoy them!

In the 90′s

This is true for both the temperature during this heatwave, and wine rating for a brilliant rosé I stumbled upon… 90+ Cellars, Lot 33 2011 Rosé from Languedoc is exactly as I hoped, a true French-style dry rosé, with notes of fresh strawberry and hints of provencal herbs. It’s no box of white Zin folks! With a sip…

ballin’…

…how else would we spend the weekend?! Sometimes the day ends and cooking something over a hot stove just doesn’t work. It’s too warm and you wanna keep from your face melting off. Today was indeed, one of those days. Hot. I decided to keep things cool and make a take on a simple marinated…

Wish-I-had-AC Granita

It’s hot at my house. Like, I-just-went-to-Home-Depot-to-get-another-fan hot! So, something refreshing should be on the menu. As it turns out I am starting a week of being dairy-free, at the recommendation of a reputable friend of mine…  No cheese, no yogurt, no fun:(  When I opened my freezer to find something cold, disappointingly dairy-full ice…
